Supporting Rugby

Societe Generale has officially been the "bank of rugby" since 1987. Its partnerships allow him to spread his colors on all terrains and to associate his values with those of the oval ball. A fundamental commitment that has its roots at the beginning of the last century (find out more).

By joining forces with Rugby Africa (Pan-African Rugby Federation), Societe Generale is going one step further in its commitment alongside all rugby players (read the press release)

Through this partnership, Societe Generale supports Rugby Africa in promoting the practice of the discipline on the continent, supporting in particular three main axes:

  • World Rugby's Get Into Rugby Program, whose goal is to develop rugby around the world and to engage people in its values of integrity, respect, solidarity, passion and discipline;
  • the U20 Barthès Trophy, the only U20 tournament organized by Rugby Africa, bringing together 12 national teams under 20;
  • the Africa Women's Sevens, the only African women's rugby tournament.

Beyond this partnership, Societe Generale's commitment to African rugby is illustrated on many levels, whether by supporting local teams or national federations or by supporting actions such as those of Terres en Mêlées organisation in Morocco, Madagascar, Togo and Burkina Faso.
